Dick Laner, my mentor, my Partner in law, my friend and a person I looked up to and highly respected. As lawyers in our firm, he made many of us, who we are today. He instilled a passion in us to become fierce advocates with the ability to reach across the table and have a relationship with the those on the other side, especially with Unions, their members and Union Counsel something rare and unique these days. Because of Dick, the firm he built which bares his name is highly respected, is known for its integrity, honesty and zealous advocacy to its clients, much learned from the lessons Dick Laner instilled in us from the moment we walked into the firm. Because of Dick, the firm has deep rooted ethics and deep personal relationships with our clientele that is extremely rare. I am in shock and deeply saddened by my his passing. Without Dick, many in our firm would not be in the positions we are today, highly respected lawyers in our area of practice and considered as one of the best Labor and Employment firms in America. We could not have accomplished this without you Dick. I will miss you.
