Obituary for Marshall P. Goldberg

Marshall P. Goldberg, age 78. Beloved husband for 58 years to June, nee Wiener. Loving father of Basi (Michael) Lowenthal, Joel (Dr. Marni) Goldberg, and the late Jeremy Goldberg. Devoted grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild: Sima Lowenthal, Moshe Ezriel (Laya) Lowenthal, Sholom Yitzchak Lowenthal, Kayla Lowenthal, Rachel Lowenthal, Sara Lowenthal, Reva Channah Goldberg, Yirmeyahu Zev Goldberg, Yosef Yisroel Goldberg, Sholom Yitzchak Goldberg, Eliezer Aharon Goldberg, Sima Malka Goldberg, Tova Roos Goldberg and great-grandchild Yisroel Leib Lowenthal. Dear brother of Allen Fred Goldberg. Marshall loved Torah and Mitzvot. He loved going to Shul. He was very close to maternal grandparents Sholom Yitzchak and Devorah Genson-they were like parents to him. He went to Shul with his grandfather and through his grandparents developed his love for Yiddishkeit. Devoted high-school biology teacher both in Chicago Public Schools and the Jewish high-schools. Devoted member of Congregation Poalei Tzedek for 44 years and opened the Shul for every minyan. Devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family. He was a medic in the Illinois National Guard for 6 years. Member of the Jewish Sacred Society. Services Thursday November 17th 12 Noon at Congregation Poalie Tzedek, 2801 W. Albion, Chicago. Interment Menorah Gardens-Broadview. Contributions in Marshall's name to Congregation Poalie Tzedek would be appreciated.
