My sincere and deepest condolences to Sue Ann and to the entire family; your loss is also my loss. I met Larry when I created the former Museum of Funeral Customs in Springfield, and his support for our work and his willingness to teach ensured that our curator and I could properly understand and present Jewish funeral rituals to museum visitors in an authorative way. His PR experience was invaluable as we sought to promote the facility devoted to his profession. Despite the museum's closing in 2008, Larry and I remained in contact as I moved to the position of cemetery manager and to my current position as a non-profit organization leader. Whenever I've presented educational programs in the Chicago area, Larry was in the audience with a huge smile, taking photos and offering kudos and encouragement. He was a true friend and mentor, and my life was enriched having known him for sixteen years. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, dear friend.
