Condolences

Condolence From: Scott Kenig
Condolence: I worked with Chuck for 5 years at Holleb & Coff and have fond memories of our conversations. He was a true gentlemen and it was an honor to work with him. He was definitely one of the "good" ones. My condolences on your loss of a fine man.

Condolence From: Rose Guccione
Condolence: I am so grateful to have known Chuck who was not only a brilliant attorney, but shared a deep love of the arts and people. I was a really young woman when I started working at Holleb & Coff in the word processing department, then as a legal secretary/assistant in the estate planning/administration, tax, and employee benefits department there. When Chuck discovered I loved classical music and opera, we would often compare notes of performances we had attended. When my father died, Chuck was one of the people at H&C who helped me make sense of it. As I pursued a career in opera, Chuck and Janet (together with the Nancy and Ed Yalowitz) attended a Gilbert & Sullivan show where I performed with a group in a church basement. He was thrilled when I got into the Grant Park and Lyric Opera Choruses. Chuck and Janet came to my wedding, and we all dined together several months later. When I saw him a year and one-half ago at a birthday party where I had sung for Herb (another mensch in my life), I embraced him so firmly, I was afraid I had broken something. I am grateful that G-d put this angel in my life. I will recite Kaddish every day for him. I love you, Chuck, and send my deepest condolences to Janet, your family, your friends, your colleagues, and the many, many people who mourn your passing.
