Elaine Krensky Stein. Survived by her devoted husband Dr. Philip Joseph Stein, daughter Louise Naomi Harel nee: Stein (Dan), son Daniel Stein, brother Robert Krensky, and granddaughters Michal and Ayelet Harel. She was preceded in death by her parents Milton Krensky and Rosemary Ehrenreich Krensky, and her sister Mary Jane Krensky Kurland. She was born in Chicago, attended New Trier High School in Winnetka IL. and received her BA in Early Childhood Education at the University of Chicago. Taught nursery school at the Latin School of the University of Chicago. Active past member of the Lake View Citizens Council and other community organizations. Enjoyed the outdoors, avid nature lover and gardener. Benefactor, Kawaga Garden and Emily Oaks Nature Center, Skokie Park District. Proud of her Jewish heritage. Supporter of The State of Israel. Enjoyed music, especially children's songs.

There will be a Funeral Service 10:30 Monday morning December 19, 2016, in the Chapel at Three Crowns Park, 2323 McDaniel Ave. Evanston Illinois. 847 328-8700
Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery 5800 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago approx. arrival 11:30 to 12 noon
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elaine's name to Kawaga Garden or Emily Oaks Nature Center, Skokie Park District. The Sierra Club or Jewish National Fund, would be appreciated.
